Not only was today classes sign-up, but also super-fancy campus apartment sign-up~ :D

One of my BFFs from high school is transferring here from a tech college to finish her English degree as a part of a "2+2" program-type-thing, and we've been planning to live together since we graduated. :D

Inb4 "NEVER ROOM WITH HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS BECAUSE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO STAND THEM"
To be completely honest, I don't care if she has annoying habits or other things that bother me or not. I want a roommate I can actually talk to, dammit. I'm sick of this awkward living silence that comes with being timid and sharing living quarters with someone that has neither desire nor willpower to interact with me even to the extent of saying "hello" when one of us returns to the room.

It's interesting how everyone was like, "after you graduate, you'll never see your high school friends again."
Guess what? I still see them every weekend. EVERY. WEEKEND.
And are we still friends? YES. YES WE ARE.
BEST FRIENDS FOREVERS, BITCHES.

Back to my main point: At my college, there are dorms, and then there are SPARKLING DELUXE APARTMENTS.
However, only upperclassmen get the opportunity to even apply for them.

GUESS WHO GOT IN, GUYS.

FUCK YEAH.

We did get one of the apartments that we have to share with two other people, which is fine since it costs the same, but...
Well, we met two really nice girls during the sign-up process and we said if with couldn't get one of the 2 people apartments that we'd share a room with them. We signed up first, since every group was assigned a priority number based on things like how many credits your group has and which contract you're getting, etc. We asked if we could reserve the spots for them, and the people in charge of sign-up were like, "No. :|"

Aaaand the spots were taken by the time they got to sign up. OTL
I know they have to be fair, but...
Somehow today's sign-up feels like only a half-victory. ;;

The other two roommates better be awesome. I'm going to be sorely disappointed if they aren't.

Soooo.

About a month back I was all like, "I'M-A BE PREPARED FOR REGISTRATION THIS TIME."
So I looked up classes for next semester early and planned things out and put them in the course cart thinking, "FUCK YEAH. I'M READY FOR THIS SHIT."

[Edit: The day before] Yesterday morning I met with Advisor-Sensei and the meeting pretty much went like this:

Sensei: Good morning~
Me: Good morning~ Class meeting~?
Sensei: Yes, let's~
Me: So I have this this and this.
Sensei: Awesome, and nothing overlaps?
Me: Nope~
Sensei: *PRESENTS REGISTRATION ACCESS CODE*
Me: *TRIUMPHANTLY LIFTS UP THE REGISTRATION ACCESS CODE AND DISPLAYS VICTORY TO THE WORLD. ALSO, APPLAUSE.* Oh~ and I HAS A MAGICAL JAPAN BOX.
Sensei: Wonderful! Oh~This looks like osenbei~ Go forth and enjoy this gift~ :D
Me: THANK YOU I WILL. :D
[/end meeting]

Later, in Spanish class, people are talking about Spanish classes next semester and how they're filling up fast. It doesn't help that there's only two classes offered that aren't lower level grammar classes. I'm still a bit disappointed that my schedule doesn't include any Spanish, so I decide to go check it out after I finish with classes for the day.

So after class I go to the registration page and look. As expected, both higher level Spanish literature courses are filled. I shrug and think, "Oh well, my schedule's full anyway."

And I look at my schedule again.

WHAT THE. WHY. REALLY? WHY.
WAY TO JUST GO AND CHANGE ALL THE TIMES YOU HAD YOUR CLASSES SCHEDULED FOR.
SDKFJKLDSJF WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME? ;A;
SCREW YOUR CLASS. SCREW IT.

So now I have a much better schedule. >:|

...I guess it didn't change as much as I thought it did. But originally Film Music was just a "Maybe when the 16 credit limit is lifted and if there's still seats left I'll do it." Now Peoples & Cultures of S/SE Asia has taken that spot. I know that a culture class is more important toward my major, but I still need my fine/performing arts credits for general university study too. Besides, for some reason Cultures of S/SE is still completely empty, so I doubt I have to worry about it filling up. Also, the professor that's teaching it has really bad ratings on Rate My Professor... not that that should influence me that much since it seems like most of the reviews on that site are from butthurt students that didn't get the grade they wanted, buuuuuuut... e.e;;

Classes started~

In Spanish we're still just reviewing. We'll probably be starting new stuffs next week-ish.

Japanese is KLDJFLKDSJ SO FUUUN. It's officially become the highlight of my day. I've seriously been like, doing my Japanese homework early, before he even assigns it just for the hell of it. Also, I'm pretty sure Sensei and Anime Club Pres are pretty much the same person. Sensei isn't into animu and mango, but they act exactly the same, and it's hilarious. Also, I don't feel so bad about taking Japanese because of anime anymore. Most of the class is doing the same, apparently.
"I don't do anime and manga, but I thank God for them every day." Oh, Sensei. XD

I don't know what to think of Intro to Global Studies yet. So far it seems like it's going to be kind of a discussion class about politics and globalization/global culture, but we really haven't done much yet.

Chemistry Appreciation is going to be far easier than expected. The professor was seriously just like, "So... this is pretty much a high school level course and if you had this class in 8th or 9th grade, this is all going to be review. I know most of you are just taking this for an easy A/recquired credits. If you're majoring in Chemistry, GTFO and take a real Chemistry class." Okay, not literally like that, but pretty close. XD;;

I couldn't even read the chapter we were assigned because I was so bored with it. It was just like, "I already know all thiiiis. DX"

For some reason all of my professors except Sensei have an accent. Oh the ironing. :|a
Okay, the Spanish professor has an excuse since he's from Spain and it makes perfect sense for someone from Spain to teach Spanish in a Spanish accent. It's going to take me a while to get used to that lisp though. ._.
